How do you kill a demon that feeds on fear?

When shadow demons kidnap her mother, Ariel follows them into a hidden layer of reality, but her rescue mission goes awry when she discovers that the demons feed on fear, they’re hunting her and they’re aiming to kill.

A quirky old guide teaches her how to locate and unleash her inner power, and while battling hallucinogenic mist, treacherous terrain, murderous earth spirits and self-doubt, she falls in love with Nick, a Warrior whose power is more than either of them can handle. Can she defeat the demons before they slay her and enslave her mother?

Ariel’s journey challenges her perception, tests her awareness and takes her deep into her heart and mind to confront, and ultimately transcend, her fear and anger.
I have to admit, I was hesitant to say yes to reviewing this. I'm normally not into demon books, but having a heroine with the same name as me was the hook. And honestly, it was really good. I appreciated that the romance blossoms slowly, and I liked the small love triangle involved. Walnut is just plain awesome, and discovering who Ariel is was the cherry on top of the sundae.

Just because you don't like demon books, doesn't mean you shouldn't give this book a chance. I did, and I loved it! Excellent storyline and lovable characters.

I received this book free for review from the author for a blog tour. I was not required to post a positive review, simply an honest one.
